AlgalSorb has been developed as a scientifically formulated complementary equine feed designed to promote bone mineralisation, skeletal integrity and metabolic balance.

The formulation integrates key macro and micro minerals, amino acids and supportive nutrients to correct deficiencies commonly found in British and Irish pastures.

Following extensive analysis of pasture samples from a wide range of studs in the UK and Ireland, results indicate consistent deficiencies in the macrominerals Zinc (Zn), Magnesium (Mg) and Sodium (Na) across these grasslands. 

The aim was to identify where young stock and mares are most likely to experience nutritional deficiencies. The result is a precisely formulated supplement designed to bridge those nutritional gaps during the critical window of skeletal development.

Maerl: A slow-release mineral matrix that is an excellent source of bioavailable calcium, also acts as a powerful gastric acid buffer, supporting optimal digestive health and performance.

MINERAL COMPOSITION & FUNCTION

1. Calcium (10.73%) and Phosphorus (3.80%) support optimal bone density and skeletal strength.
2. Magnesium (1.13%), Potassium (0.56%) and Sodium (0.38%) enhance neuromuscular stability, electrolyte balance and enzyme activation.
3. Zinc (1264 mg/kg), Copper (503 mg/kg) and Manganese (15.9 mg/kg) support connective tissue, enzyme function and hoof quality. 
4. Selenium (0.65 mg/kg) and Iodine (0.031 mg/kg) aid antioxidant defence and thyroid regulation.
